Its success inspired Donna VanLiere’s best-selling novel and the CBS television movie starring Rob Lowe and Kimberly Williams. Steve appeared in a cameo alongside Rob Lowe and also appeared in the project’s music video. The movie was filmed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and broadcast on CBS on December 1, 2002. It became the first adaptation from VanLiere’s ten-book series, followed by four additional films: “The Christmas Blessing” (2005), “The Christmas Hope” (2009), “The Christmas Secret” (2014), and “The Christmas Note” (2015).
